Our Products
Will RUST!
This is a natural product, and rusting is an inherent part of its transformation process, creating a unique and rustic patina over time.
If you prefer to maintain a clean, rust-free finish, we can apply a protective sealant. However, please note that the sealant will require periodic reapplication to ensure continued protection.
For a non-rusting look, applying a sealant is essential.
ARTISTIC EVENTS
Art in the Park Auckland 2024
September 2024
We are getting a bit excited around here.
I have been invited to attend The Art in the Park at Eden Park Auckland, in September 2024. I have two sculptures that are coming with us. It will be exciting to see how people will react with my sculptures as well as seeing what others are doing. So many talented people out there. I feel very privileged to be doing this.

Wanaka A & P 2025
August 09 2024
We are starting some planning for the up and coming Wanaka A & P Show. Amongst or daily stuff we are doing. We are hoping to get some new items made and hopefully we will have a waterwheel again, may not be the biggest size but we know from past shows this has been a show stopper that young and old enjoy. So watch this space.

What is the main difference between mild steel and Corten steel?Mild steel is a standard, rust-prone metal known for its strength and affordability, while Corten steel develops a protective rust layer that prevents further corrosion, making it ideal for outdoor sculptures and architectural features.

Can you apply a sealant to steel?Yes, you can apply a protective seal or coating over steel to prevent rust and corrosion. For outdoor steel products, a clear sealant or special rust-inhibiting paint is often used to extend their lifespan and maintain appearance. Is it high maintenance? Applying a seal or protective coating reduces maintenance needs significantly. Regular inspections and reapplication every few years may be recommended, but overall, sealed steel requires minimal upkeep compared to uncoated steel, which may rust and need frequent treatment.
